ZVL History

50 years tradition in bearing manufacturing

ZVL Slovakia, a.s. is the largest bearing manufacturer in the Slovak Republic, with over 50 years of experience. ZVL Slovakia's history began in 1923 when ZVL Concern was established with the focus on ball bearing manufacturing. The most critical milestone in the company history was 1968—this is when ZVL Slovakia started producing ball bearings and integrated into ZVL Concern with headquarters in Považská Bystrica.

ZVL Concern had developed a complex R&D base which linked with the manufacturing. Since the establishment, ZVL Slovakia has undergone various historical changes impacting production processes and property ownership. Since 2007 the corporation is represented by the business name ZVL SLOVAKIA, a.s. and continues to develop business activity trends domestically and internationally to successfully meet the requirements of customers worldwide. Today, ZVL Slovakia is not only a bearer of long tradition in Slovak engineering industry but also an important worldwide supplier of wide bearing portfolio.
